The course is designed for development practitioners and implementers of rural development programmes. This course addresses the emergent need of developing a cadre of professionals to contribute to the rural development sector in Chhattisgarh. We strongly believe in offering high quality education and training in order to build cadres of professionals to achieve the objectives of sustainable development, equity and justice.
Decentralised Planning course, which is spread over twelve weeks, aims to bridge the gap in conceptual, theoretical understanding of decentralised planning and rural development. The course work focuses on imparting knowledge and concepts of various issues impacting the rural scenario, project management, information collection, analysis and a holistic understanding of decentralised planning. Hands on training are provided on skill sets to facilitate preparation of decentralised plans. On successful completion of the course the participants receive the certificate.

The availability of skilled work force ready to work at grass-roots is vital for the growth of any rural livelihood and development program. The institute has taken an effort to prepare the required skilled human resource by pioneering a three months Certificate Course in Livelihood Planning & Supply Chain Management. On the successful completion of the course, students would be able to work on promotion and nurturing of SHGs & community institutions, bank linkages, microfinance, credit and livelihood planning, agriculture, dairy and small ruminant based livelihood etc.
A unique feature of this programme is that it not only employs a holistic perspective in the analysis of livelihoods to identify those issues where an intervention could be strategically important for enhancing access to resources and opportunities, but it also aims at equipping the students to work with individuals, groups or vulnerable communities to develop or strengthen their livelihoods through meaningful social enterprises.
