Sno Scheme Ministry Provisions
1 Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) MoRD Legal guarantee for one hundred days of employment in every financial year to adult members of any rural household willing to do public work-related unskilled manual work at the statutory minimum wage of Rs. 120 per day in 2009 prices.
2 Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojna (SGSY) MoRD Bring the assisted poor families above the poverty line by organising them into Self Help Groups (SHGs) through the process of social mobilisation, their training and capacity building and provision of income generating assets through a mix of bank credit and government subsidy.
3 Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) MoRD Good all-weather road connectivity to unconnected villages
4 Indira Awaas Yojana (IAY) MoRD Housing for the rural poor
5 National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) MoRD Public assistance to its citizens in case of unemployment, old age, sickness and disablement and in other cases of undeserved want
6 Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) MoRD Development of rainfed /degraded areas through participatory watershed approach is
the focal area of the Government
7 AR&RS MoPR Under the Scheme of Action Research and Research Studies, Central assistance is provided to Academic Institutions, NGOs, Research Organizations, Registered Societies and Non Profit Organizations for their proposals to conduct Action Research, Impact Studies, Research Studies, on subjects dealt with by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
8 BRGF MoPR The Backward Regions Grant Fund is designed to redress regional imbalances in development. The fund will provide financial resources for supplementing and converging existing developmental inflows into identified districts
9 PEAIS MoPR Panchayat Empowerment and Accountability Incentive Scheme (PEAIS) is a Central Sector plan Scheme being implemented by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) since 2005-06.  The scheme aims at encouraging States to adequately empower Panchayats and put in place systems for bringing about accountability to PRIs.  Incentive grants are provided to States under the scheme for undertaking legislative and administrative measures for effective devolution of 3Fs (Function, Fund and Functionaries) to PRIs. 
10 RGPSA MoPR The Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Sashaktikaran Abhiyan will strengthen the Panchayati Raj system across the country and address critical gaps that constrain it. Enhance capacities and effectiveness of Panchayats and the Gram Sabhas; Enable democratic decision-making and accountability in Panchayats and promote people’s participation; Strengthen the institutional structure for knowledge creation and capacity building of Panchayats; Promote devolution of powers and responsibilities to Panchayats according to the spirit of the Constitution and PESA Act; Strengthen Gram Sabhas to function effectively as the basic forum of people’s participation, transparency and accountability within the Panchayat system; Create and strengthen democratic local self government in areas where Panchayats do not exist; Strengthen the constitutionally mandated framework on which Panchayats are founded.
11 RGSY MoPR The Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Yojana (RGSY), which is in operation since 2006-07, aims at providing support to the initiatives of the States and UTs for Capacity Building and Training of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and their functionaries. While the major focus of the scheme is in the training related activities, it also provides grants for the development of Panchayat Infrastructure, mainly the Office Building of the Gram Panchayats commonly called as the GP Ghars. As a general rule, the location specific investments under the RGSY are to be incurred in the non-BRGF districts only.
